Nominating Chair Steve Pope, VP of Human Resources, O'Reilly Auto
Parts, presented the nominating committee report to recommend
nominations for officers of the corporation and members of the board
of directors. |

Kelly Polonus, Great Southern Bank and Chair of the 2005 Day of
Caring presented her report that reflected one of the most
successful Day of Caring projects in the country. More than 1,500
people donated their time to volunteer at United Way member
agencies. |

Leslie Peck, President, Peck's Insurance and Financial Services,
served as the 2005 Agency Relations & Allocations Chair. She thanked
the more than 160 volunteers who met with agency board and staff to
carefully review programs and budgets to recommend how United Way of
the Ozarks should allocate its funds to member agencies. |

2005 Campaign Chair John Himmel shared personal thoughts of
appreciation and comments about the successful 2005-2006 campaign
that raised over $3,500,000. |

More than 500 awards were presented during the evening in
recognition of the outstanding support given to United Way by
individuals and employee campaigns. The awards were original artwork
drawn by children of the Boys & Girls Club of Springfield, Girl
Scouts of America, Boys and Girls Town of MO and Ozarks Regional
YMCA. |

Special guest speaker Kerry Tait shared her personal story of
how NAMI of southwest Missouri, a United Way member agency, has
touched her life. |
