Nadia Cavner and Carol Jones Present Gifts to United Way of the Ozarks and FLiP
March 29, 2011 (Springfield, MO)…the Cavner family, Nadia, Howard and Maral and Springfield business woman, Carol Jones, recently presented gifts to United Way and Female Leaders in Philanthropy (FLiP), to support the Ozarks Food Harvest Backpack program in two Springfield public elementary schools.
FLiP is the Women’s Leadership Initiative of United Way of the Ozarks. The group is a network of women helping women, dedicated to changing our community and working towards creating positive outcomes in the issues that touch the lives of women and children.
“We are so blessed to have strong, intelligent, caring women like Nadia and Carol in our community. They have supported FLiP and our backpack initiative since we first started raising funds to support the program in eight of the Springfield public schools,” comments Dr Nancy O’Reilly, United Way board member and FLiP Chair. “FLiP can’t do what we do without the kind of support we receive from women like Nadia and Carol. They provide such a wonderful example for women investing their time and talent to create positive outcomes for women and children who are at risk in our city.”
FLiP currently has three main initiatives:
Suit Yourself Boutique
Suit Yourself helps women entering or re-entering the workplace to shop, at no charge, for workplace appropriate clothing.
Ozarks Food Harvest Backpack Program
