The United Way of the Ozarks' Board of Directors is proud to announce its new President and CEO Jennifer Kennally. She replaces John Rush who recently retired after 20 years as CEO. Jennifer will officially assume her new responsibilities on May 18, 2008.

"We are very pleased that Jennifer will be our new CEO and look forward to her leadership as we gear up for another busy campaign season," says Jim Jura, Chairman of the United Way of the Ozarks Board of Directors. "We look forward to her fresh perspective and building upon her path of success."

Kennally has 17 years of United Way and nonprofit experience and served as the executive director of the American Cancer Society in Springfield for several years in the mid-to-late 1980s. More recently, she was the executive director at United Way of Johnson County, Kansas, the Olathe Region United Way and was the campaign director at Heart of America United Way in Kansas City.

"My career has been devoted to improving the lives of people and that is at the heart of every United Way office and the agencies they serve," states Kennally. "To be back in Springfield and to have this incredible opportunity means so much to me."

United Way of the Ozarks provides funding to its member agencies which offer a variety of human services to improve the lives of people in the community.
