Trudy Pischer has joined United Way of the Ozarks as Vice President – Resource Development/Planned Giving
Ms Pischer earned her certification as a Certified Fundraising Executive in 2006. Pischer has over 20 years of nonprofit fundraising experience that includes major gift and planning giving development. Most recently she was with Missouri University of Science & Technology (formerly University of Missouri-Rolla) where she was Senior Development Officer. John Rush, President of United Way of the Ozarks commented, "We are delighted that Trudy has joined us. Her experience, contacts in the community, and her enthusiasm are a perfect fit for United Way and will certainly be a benefit to our initiatives and member agencies."
When asked about her move, Pischer commented, "I'm very glad that I had the opportunity to work for Missouri S&T. I wouldn't trade that experience for anything." Pischer continues, "However, my heart has always been with the not-for-profit community. With the reach and reputation that the United Way has in Southwest Missouri, it was an opportunity that I was compelled to do."
Pischer is active in the community serving on and taking leadership roles in several organizations including: Ozarks Region Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Southeast Rotary, Southwest Missouri Humane Society, and Ozarks Audubon Society. She has also received recognition from the following groups: Springfield Business Journal's Outstanding Women in Business Award, 2002 and AFP's Outstanding Fundraising Executive, 1997.
