04.04.08 - United Way of the Ozarks Announces Jennifer Kennally as New President/CEO

The United Way of the Ozarks' Board of Directors is proud to announce its new President and CEO Jennifer Kennally. She replaces John Rush who recently retired after 20 years as CEO. Jennifer will officially assume her new responsibilities on May 18, 2008.

01.31.08 - United Way of the Ozarks Announces Associated Wholesale Grocers Corporate Humanitarian

United Way of the Ozarks announced Associated Wholesale Grocers as the 2008 Corporate Humanitarian of the Year. This is the highest honor the United Way of the Ozarks can bestow on a company and its employees.

01.15.08 - Twain elementary repeats as largest United Way donor

For the second year in a row, employees of Twain Elementary School made the largest contribution per person to Springfield Public Schools' United Way campaign. On Friday, Jan. 18, Superintendent Dr. Norm Ridder will recognize them for their generosity.

At holiday time, Boys & Girls Town works with generous organizations and individuals to provide gifts for the children in their care. With close to 400 children in treatment programs and foster care partnerships, many gifts are needed.

Greg Ostergren, ANPAC® CEO, presents John Rush, United Way of the Ozarks President, with a $20,000 check from the 8th Annual ANPAC® Car Show For Kids which was held September 22, 2007.

10.29.07 - UNITED WAY OF THE OZARKS' FEMALE LEADERS IN PHILANTHROPY (FLIP) MAKING PROGRESS AND PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE OF ITS HUNGER HURTS KIDS CAMPAIGN WHICH IS FEEDING HUNGRY CHILDREN IN SPRINGFIELD PUBLIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

Springfield, MO - United Way's Women's Initiative; Female Leaders in Philanthropy (FLIP) will announce the successful expansion of the backpack program available in eligible Springfield public elementary schools and the future of the campaign, Hunger Hurts Kids, which made the expansion possible, at a news conference at United Way of the Ozarks at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 29, 2007.

10.18.07 - UNITED WAY OF THE OZARKS PRESENTED WITH $10,000 DONATION FROM BNSF RAILWAY

09.20.07 - United Way of the Ozarks receives a $16,000 corporate gift from Kraft Inc. Nancy Fazzino with United Way, Renee Bartlett with Kraft Inc. and campaign chair John Wilson with US Bank.

 

09.14.07 - United Way's Women's Initiative, Female Leaders in Philanthropy (FLIP) chair, Dr. Nancy O'Reilly was honored as one of Springfield Business Journal's 20 Most Influential Women of 2007.

 

9.12.07 - UNITED WAY'S HUNGER HURTS KIDS CAMPAIGN ANNOUNCES FUNDING FOR ALL ELIGIBLE SPRINGFIELD PUBLIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS.

9.10.07 - Day of Caring volunteers make a special connection with one United Way recipient.

United Way's Day of Caring is a special day for many people in our community. This year, it was especially unique for two United Way volunteers, Tom Cobb and Brad Prost, employees at Interactive Hotel Solutions. This year Tom, Brad and the rest of the volunteers from Interactive Hotel Solutions were introduced to Adam.

 

8.22.07 - Robin House and Pat Dierking with City Utilities presented Nancy Fazzino, Vice President of United Way of the Ozarks with a $3,844.58 donation raised by City Utilities employees. This money will go toward United Ways' Hunger Hurts Kids campaign.
